Accused meth dealer pleads ‘not guilty’

AN ALBANY woman has faced court  charged  with  intending  to  sell  or  supply  a  trafficable  quantity  of  methamphetamine  after  the  car  she  was  travelling  in was searched by authorities in February. 

Police will allege Leah Beth Pass was the passenger of a vehicle carrying drugs which was stopped on Lower  Denmark  Road  in  Mount  Elphinstone.

After searching the car, officers allegedly found 63 grams of meth hidden away in a security camera.

Police  have  also  charged  Ms  Pass  for  failing  to  obey  a  data  access  order  after  she  allegedly  refused authorities access to two mobile phones.

Ms  Pass  pleaded  not  guilty to all charges  in  Albany Magistrates Court  and was released on bail with a $10,000 personal undertaking and ordered to surrender her passport.

She  will  reappear  in  court  on  January 19.
